So... when I get bored, I start drawing other things.... at least this character is not too far from being met, though I'm not sure if this will be the final rendition... Lady Whimsy ~

Oh, geeze, she's beautiful! I love how you did the scales, because I can't draw scales to save my life XD If we are going to have dragons, I have a very close dragon character that I'd love to bring into Kalidore

Thankees! I'm still debating exactly how I want her to look... tweaking scaling and fins and what not... Still far from complete The scales are simply a cluster of loops and half-loops, scattered over one another. I kinda just scribble when I draw, and go back to filling in details later. *G* I like messy. Actually, without fail, I like my rough sketches better then any of my finished pieces. They just have more... I dunno... humanity in them, I think

What you should try is a different look for the males. Maybe more bulky? Or go with a bird of prey style and have the females larger than the males. But males are more bulky?
I love dragons, so I'm always up for dragons "landing" on Kalidore. ^^

Dragons are a creature I have been honing for years... So I actually have a pretty sound feeling on what these Dragons of Kalidore will be about As far as featuring... I've always felt my dragons were very... gazelle like, perhaps? Slender, sinuous, but not serpentine. Certainly warmblooded, and mammalian even (actually, monotreme is probably more accurate) this is an ancient species, not unlike unicorns, and elementally gifted. Here are some old sketches I have of dragons, done back in highschool and college, so they are all 10-15 years old. (eep, now I feel old!) I actually think I drew better back then... at least, I had more time to practice... www.angelfire.com/on/raventyde/artpage.htmlI have soooo been looking forward to bringing the dragons in... it's been... hard for me to contain my excitement! I'm loving the concept of your dragons - they're so ... svelte and poised. I've been mulling over the dragonkin for a while myself - but definitely mine are usually a bit more burly and squareish. And come in .... lots of different forms. They used to be a bit slenderer in my mind - but most have bulked up a bit, not sure why, excepting for my singluar draconic alterego - blue dragoness, named Silverflame. Oooold character of mine, from that MUD I mentioned in chat a while back. She was a hoot.
