~ Xanthe ~
Name: Xanthe Race: Unicorn Gender: Female
Companion: n/a RP Colour: Blue
Skills & Abilities: Xanthe is learning the lost art of spell-casting from her mother. She is unfortunately not very good at it, mostly because she does not apply herself to her studies. She means well, but she can get distracted easily. Personality Strengths & Weakness: Truly a free spirit at heart, Xanthe can’t help but be in the middle of everything – that just where she seems to end up! She is also precocious to a fault and has the uncanny ability to get herself into all kinds trouble, even when she means well… or even, especially so… Partly it’s her zealous and impulsiveness nature to blame, or perhaps that ingrained stubbornness (which has a tendency to keep her in trouble, once she finds herself there). Either way, one can be assured that things are going to be more interesting with a golden dun kore in their midst. Xanthe is the chaos factor embodied, an active catalyst.
Like her mother Muse, Xanthe is whimsical and creative, which works to colour the world around her a little more then it probably should. She is forever driven to explore new aspects and uncharted possibilities, and is never satisfied with a simple answer; the very worst possible thing she can think of be told is “no”. She definitely needs to learn restraint, and consider the wide-reaching results of her actions a little more thoroughly. However, Xanthe never means harm, and is absolutely with the best intentions at heart.
A warm and gregarious soul, Xanthe loves being around people and cares for her friends and family very passionately (and her enemies too!) Generally quick to make friends, Xanthe tends not to judge people and takes them at face. However, she can hold a grudge, and isn’t the most understanding person when her youthful pride has been miffed; more likely then not, these more narrowed and selfish traits will diminish as she continues to grow and mature.
Determined, thoughtful, and brave, Xanthe is a true friend (and cunning adversary!) Her essential nature is to be happy, and ensure that those around her are happy too.
Relationships: Family: ~ Xanthe is Muse’s daughter, and resides with her mother in Temple Library; her father is Odin. She has a great deal of respect for both parents, and tries her best to please them (when she perceives what they ask as being reasonable request on her person). While she and her mother often disagree, it’s certainly a warm and nurturing relationship that Xanthe depends on, despite her occasional throws of being independent and self-reliant.
~ As her mother’s companion, Rhaine is a constant in the kore’s life, and she really considers Rhaine an elder sister. They have a fairly close relationship, and work to take care of each other, since both secretly seem to think the other is in constant need of their help. Friends: ~ Tyden is another good friend and playmate, and especially after their adventures together on Earth, is one Xanthe looks ups to and tries to emulate. He also spoils her something terrible, and there isn’t much she can get from him once she fixes him with those wide blue eyes…
~ Pasiphae is one of the few adult unicorns who Xanthe feels truly "gets her" and she adores the bay mare for that. She also enjoys Phae's similarly impulsive nature and ability to act on a whim, considering her a true kindred spirit.
~ Fiera is also familiar friend to the kore, a communality of adventures past. She also considers Alison, Fiera's companion, a good friend as well, and people she likes to hang out with.
~ Kyndrienn is probably her biggest fanclub, all wrapped into one, and on a more personable level Xanthe admires the koros for his eagerness and drive. Plus he makes an exceedingly good partner in crime, thanks to his frank impressionability...
Adversaries: ~ On the other end of the spectrum Liam is her sworn enemy, after a harrowing incident involving some apple slices and a lasso which, due to amnesia, he has no recollection of (a thing that bothers the kore all the more). In truth, Xanthe is probably more upset with herself over the ordeal, but the soldier makes a palpable target. It might be the fact that having an enemy seems to colour the world just that much more, and the situation in itself fascinates her.

~ Mare Imbrium ~
Name: Mare Imbrium Race: Unicorn Gender: Female
Companion: n/a RP Colour: Navy
Known throughout the isle and worlds beyond, the enigmatic Mare Imbrium is somewhat of a recluse, coming and going from the Isle like the faces of the moon. Yet she always arrives when she is needed most of all, so perhaps it is not farfetched to think she is never truly gone, but watching over Kalidore from afar...
Skills & Abilities: Mare Imbrium is a powerful and commanding presence, the firstborn Daughter of Kal and Odin’s twin. She is the iconic unicorn, and like her brother has the gift of healing and purification, as well as the ability to invoke magic where none was, and to restore magic to a place where it has gone. She also posses much Old Knowledge, and is well-schooled in the archaic arts. Personality Strengths & Weakness: Ageless, majestic, and wise, Imbri is a natural leader but also just as content to follow when all that is required from her is support; she sees it her duty to encourage and bolster the citizens of Kalidore and to guide them towards the greater good. At the same time, she works to her own agenda, and remains secretive and unyielding when questioned directly. Regardless, there is no doubting her intentions or her heart, and she would willing lay down her own life to protect both Kalidore and its people.
She is a quiet mare, often lost to deep reflections and secret worries. She can occasionally become caught up in her own idealisms, though never to the point that it becomes counterproductive. Proud, opinionated, and occasionally short tempered, for the most part she is supporting and motherly and a most welcomed figure wherever she goes; because of that she could be considered an ambassador of the isle, her insight and thoughtful demeanor marking her an ideal advocate for the Kalidore’s message of compassion and unity throughout the universe.
The keeper of dark secrets, this is a burden Imbri feels is best carried alone, and few would guess what old prophecies trouble her through starless nights and keep the somber mare restless and unable to stay among her friends on the isle for long.
Relationships: When she is visiting the Isle, Imbri spends most of her time in the vicinity of the Temple Library, visiting with Muse and Rhaine; the purpose of these visits, she says, is to record what she has learned on her travels into the great tomes of the isle; Muse however is convinced she comes for the company. After all, Imbri is quite fond of the young guardians (and Tyden, too!) and often accompanies Rhaine on their adventures, so that Muse may continue her work in the Temple.
Back Story: The first born Daughter of Kal and Odin's twin, Mare Imbrium new the universe when it was young, saw the shift of time work its way through the worlds, and experienced the Dragon Wars first hand. Of this time she says very little, insisting she does not dwell on times past, though the often distant look in her eyes speaks of different realities. Of course, pressing Mare Imbrium about the past never gets anyone anywhere, and so she remains one of the isle's great enigmas.

Ageless and wise, with a subtle majesty and haunting air about him, Odin's domain is the Skyfeilds: the weathered cliffs of Kalidore's mountains. Here, he says, he is closer to the sky, where he listens to the songs born of ancient winds that billow from the far corners of the universe.
All-knowing and immeasurably kind, because he spends most of his time in the mountains Odin might appear a bit distant and reclusive but this is not the case. From his vantage in the Skyfields he watches all - the many creatures of Kalidore, his family and friends, his world. To protect them all from harm there is nothing he would not do, for he is Keeper of the World, a responsibility gifted upon him by his great parents, and one he upholds with every ounce of his being.
If it is advice you seek, Odin knows the answer, but do not expect him to spell it out for you. He will, however, support you in every way while you complete your quest, and learn your own truth. Truth and knowledge, after all, is not something learned so much as it is something discovered within one's own self.

~ Falling Star ~

Skills & Abilities: Strengths & Weakness: Personality: Noble and idealistic, Falling Star sees it as his duty to uphold the old codes: he is a defender of faith and a champion of good. Passionate and senstive, he is both teacher and guide, a resolute and watchful leader, unafraid to fight the good fight.
As the Second Son, Falling Star is a horse of the people. Keenly interested in the happenings of Kalidore, he keeps himself well-informed and available. He will gladly share his knowledge with anyone who will follow his lead, and though occasionally he might seem forbearing, it's simply that he cares so much for his people and his faith, and would fight his last breath defending both.
