*grins mischievously, for she has roped Shazz into the RP's most exciting, dramatic, and cliff-hanger of an endings*

Drama... XD *pets Fiera* Just hanging around, I'll catch up later when everyone's heading back. Just pretend the two are looking around the place, maybe picking an apple here and there and talking.

Also - while I've decided that NPCs definitely pose complications - they certainly seem to make the transitions between player-characters a bit easier. At least for me. So far sharing the Madsens with you, Lady W, has been a hoot! What with multiple controllers, they definitely have a life beyond the one I've given them, which keeps me on my toes - but they also let me do a bit more fleshing out of the surroundings and less monologuing (sometimes it feels like monologuing even if there are technically more than one of my characters involved in the discussion. It's like it's me, but squared. If that makes sense.) I really like it. I nominate that we steal more NPCs along! >.>

Woot! So Chapter 3 is a wrap... which means our last chapter - and the end of this RP - will soon be underway! Aren't you all glad, lol? No, seriously, I've been enjoying this immensely, and I hope you all have too. Ember will be seeking Aquila's companion next, and while she's a way for the weekend, that should give Lady E and myself a chance to set up the next scene. After that, Shazz and I will be doing some tandem writing about Persephone & Co to bring us up to our dramatic finish.... and Angel of Music will help Trinity make some discoveries along the way! So I hope everyone will be there, and join in when they feel the pull..... eeee, so exciting, can't wait! *G* And I absolutely adored sharing characters with you Del, it did make things flow so nicely I am looking forward to future RP's when people are more comfortable with their characters and each other to do more of the same - or even some tandem posting between the two. Anything that makes it easier and more enjoyable for my RPer's, I'm game for - so keep me posted, and let me know what works best for you Lady Whimsy ~

Oh, I was thinking, maybe we shouldn't color code every name. Maybe when it's really needed, but not every time. For example, if your charater is thinking about this person, no color. But if your character is approaching another character, then yeah, color it. It'll cut back on the work plus we'll still have some color around That's how I've been for the while anyways >>

I realized today, my life revolves around colour coding. I think the thought occurred to me on page 20 of the thirty page script I was formatting, carefully going through and highlighting each different character in its own unique colour and blocking out actions... at least the program I use has a nifty marcos that does all the finding and replacing for you... See, that's what we need for this forum board, lol. Higher programming I do like the colours, but maybe we have got a little over board, lol. I personally find colour very helpful to pick out the things my character might need to react to, so I think using them when directly interacting with someone is a good thing, for sure. Maybe... when we have multiple characters that we're all sharing... like the Madsen family... we didn't need to colour each one since we're really just talking to ourselves, lol. On the other hand, I think it might be useful to highlight a person's name the first time it apperears in a post, even if it's your own character, to help others pick out that information quickly, too (such has, if you're waiting to respond to some other character, spotting where he/she appears at a glance is also helpful, yes?) I'm sure we'll find a happy medium as we go along... I just wish there was a way to import more colours into the pulldown, because writing out these complicated names is pain, lol.... do you have any idea how many times I've typo'd "orhicd" into the box and drawn a black? *G* Lady Whimsy ~

I was thinking happy thoughts about background programming to auto-color names too, haha. But yeah - thinking that either direct references and/or FIRST references to other's characters are probably good as a bare minimum. And shared NPCs might be good as a single color. Or something. Hehe.

I do have a little surprise.... In honour of our first RP and all the challenges that entailed, we thought we'd show are gratitude to some of the "troopers" who have stuck through it and really made it into what it was - we couldn't have an RP without you! So without futher ado, may I present - Companion Certs Congratulations, Silent & Del! You both have worked so hard at this, and I hope these certs do your characters justice Companion certs will not be available for regular sale but will be offered through special Kalidore Events. We'll be offering a few more in next RP, so you still have chances to nab one of your own. We've had so much fun so far, I can't wait to see this story through - and start our next Happy RPing! *spills in after a long week at work* It's been pretty quiet on the RP this week, waiting for Ember to collect her companion, and then off into our a grande finale! But only a momentary pause, because the next RP should be taking off seamlessly. And of course this time there will be "official" prizes too (which means there might be a surprise or two as well) Actually, we can pretty much guarantee there will superbulous surprises along the way I'm hoping we'll be able to pick up some new people along the way (I've been putting the word out, plus I hope the *prizes* will lure a few more in) but in preperation is there anything else we need to address? I know sometimes it can be a little slow, but I'm hoping that not having to put the weight of the RP on any one person's shoulder for a given time will help with that. Lady E and I will take a more active roll in guiding - not that there won't be room for impromptu side journeys (in fact, I will be *very* disappointed if those don't happen, lol) - but hopefully that will keep things moving. I of course will try to keep posting daily, so long as someone answers Or else we all just sit back and see if Tyden can carry the show himself... *continues to snicker at the breedable comment* Gosh, that will not get old any time soon... Oh, and yes, I will be setting up the Kalidore Geographical Society when I return, so all you keen world-builders will have something do in the meanwhile *waits for the (hopefully!) super exciting ending to start so Ulysses' Odyssey to begin...* Lady Whimsy ~

As we've just run into some EXCITEMENT, I thought I should take a moment to introduce you to it a little more intimately. *G* These are the soldiers four, and you're more then welcome to puppet them around a bit if you need in your rp'ing. I find it makes for more fun, kind of like the Madsen family party, just... less loving and more authoritarian brutishness... The soldier's personal at a glance - Liam Teague - he's been doing this for some time and is conferable with the job; he's good person, though idealistic, and thinks he's really doing the BEST THING FOR THE PEOPLE, for their own good. Might feel a bit sympathetic for the uneducated peasants, but this is his job, and he will do it. Connor Brogan - As the leader, he's been at this for a while, and tends to be a bit grumpy about it. He likes the power his position brings, doesn't see why the job shouldn't have a few perks.... can be a bit of an oaf, and is definitely a thug Aiden Ruan - the elder brother. likes the army. Likes the job. Thinks it's fun. Hasn't been around long enough to see much hardship, so it's probably more a game for him. Brendan Ruan - the younger brother, newest recruit. Really wants to prove himself, to whatever end... Hope that's helpful I'm sure we'll all have some fun with this, unicorns vrs soldiers, though it's debatable if any of the characters are actually going to think it's fun... (except maybe Brogan). Just remember these guys are grumpy, and they have swords... and probably will not be open to more... modern ways of handle the situation. I guess all that remains is to give these guys a colour.... what haven't we used in a while...? I just stuck in lime green, since we are in Ireland... though perhaps we should save that pretty colour for Asilinn and give these dults something more fitting? We still have Maroon, Teal, and Beige unused recently I think.... *wonders if there's a way to program more colours into the drop box* Lady Whimsy
