It's coming.... >.> And we have big plans in the works! But of course won't whisper a word until the day ;D In the meanwhile, now is a perfect time to hear from YOU - for those of you who have been here from the beginning, or who have jumped in just recently, what are your reflections on Kalidore? Any questions, suggestions, comments, criticisms - they're all welcomed! Is there anything you really like? really dislike? Want to see more of? could do without? has confused the heck out of you since day one and only now you've worked up the courage to say something? *G* Everything you say can only go to improve the world of Kalidore even more, and after all, we want Kalidore to continue to be a engaging and delightful place for many more years to come Our First Birthday Celebration will begin on here and on PI on April 21st, the day we launched into Generals. Hope to see you all there! Lady Whimsy ~

Kalidore seems to me to be evolving very well. With all these two-legged roaming around though, a pub may become a necessity so everyone isn't hanging out at the temple. Xanthe will never get her lessons done with all those distractions. *shudders at the thought of more giant purple hippos. With wings* You are doing a really great job developing this world. Keep up the good work.

Not to worry about THAT... the tavern will be the FIRST thing to go up in RP3, lol... we just have to finish RP2 first, to get there. Hopefully the world will be free of flooded basements, trips to Winnipeg, huge assignments, and all other such craziness after this week, and then we can really get back into the flow of things... *sighs wishfully* In the meanwhile, planning party stuff is a good diversion Anything in particular people WANT to have happen during the Birthday Celebrations? Btw, people are MORE then welcomed to log in to a guest account and leave comments anonymously. All feedback helps!

I don't know how well it would work. 'Cause it'd take a lot of your time and since the unicorns are naturally colored and all. But a frankenunicorn would be kinda cool. And if you limited the choices to one per person, that would spread it out. I donno, though, how many options and all that would be available. But you could always do like I do mine. And list the options under each category (i.e Coat color - Brown, black, gray, fleabitten gray, dapple gray, etc.) as numbers and then have them pick a number. True they might not know what exactly they're gettting, but it'd stil be fun. So it'd be something like: pick a number 1-25 for the base coat. And someone picks 5 and that happens to be like.. cremello or whatever on the list. ::snicker.:: I hope that makes sense. 9.9 I just woke up. Buuut... it'd be fun and I think a few people could get involved. But like I said that would probably take a bit of your time. Other than that, though, you guys rock. >:} And I have to say that you're definately my favorite adoptable by far. ::nods.:: I can't think of anything I'd change, or want changed. You guys are doing awesome.

Yeah, I can't belive that I've been with you guys for almost a year already! I think I started back in... March or May, was it? ;D
Ooh! I like V's idea, that would make some great fun ^^ Although, I always seem to find that pick a humber can drag on a bit. It's more of a luck/chance game that should be played in the daylight and not so late at night. Just so some people don't fall asleep xD
I'd like to see some speed auctions. The auctions that last out can still be an event, but it would be cool to see what the stalkers would do in 1 hour *snickers* (Along with me!)

Although you rarely saw me, I was there from the beginning (intros). Wondered why we needed to know so much about Kalidore (the trivia thing) Now I'm wishing I had taken the time to find all those answers! XD

Y'all are the reason I'm still hanging around PI. I popped into the forums, was generally scared of the people, and then poked around the adoptables and found the UoK. And went ... oooooo SHINY. Have been hooked ever since. Hehe. Anyways - as far as birthday shindigs go - hrm. Not jeopardy! Is all I can say, *snicker* Auctions would be good, or sneak peaks. Or another mini rp event - the last one was exhausting but fuuuuuuuuun. Possibly a riddle contest? A team logic puzzle event? *thoughtful* And definitely a few more non-owner events, or quickie ones so that you can beat some of us obssessive hoarders off. *grins lopsidedly* As far as Kalidore feedback - I love love love the KGS. And the Unicorns. And the artwork. And the RP. And Tyden. And Xanthe *snuzzles her soundly*. Not to mention the Guardians and how smexi Odin is, and Arieon's peacock preening. Hehehe. Suffice to say, I'm pretty much ga-ga over Kalidore in general, but I think y'all probably understood that from my rather loud poetic waxings. *inno* The only thiiiiiiiiiing I would like maybe sort some thought on ... and this doesn't have to be in the birthday event at all, and you can whap me and tell me to shush hahahaha ... would be for the koros to possibly have a way to become a limited breedable boy. >.> Obviously would take a lot of thought, and I don't think it's a complete _necessity_ - but the option to maybe allow them to ... strike out on their own, even outside of Kalidore to a degree? ... to maybe find their own place and establish their own lands. I think it would be nice to have a wider range of personalities. XD Just looking at the pretty boys that exist so far, it seems a shame for them to always have the girls looking down their noses at them. *snicker* Anyways - it's definitely a sort of ... vague mulling. Yes. And eeeeeeeeee! I can't wait for RP3. Or Heck, more of RP2. Or the others. Or the tavern. And Cess! And ... eeeeeeeeeee! *goes back to flailing happily in her corner* - Del

*snickers* I've been looking back at the intro threads... goodness, some wild times those, lol! From the standpoint of someone like me who had no real idea what we were getting into, it was a pretty giddy but exhilarating experience. And I have to continue to loff on Lady E for how well everything went! While we did have a few comedic errors and the occasionally d'oh moment, the ease and efficiency from which Kalidore rolled is owed almost entirely to her Really, I'm just here to draw things, and come up with crazy plots for you all, lol. Hah, I knew it... introduce the "unbreedable adoptable" and the first thing people are going to ask for is to breed them *posts a great big I TOLD YOU SO in the thread and sighs ruefully* But I am glad you brought it up Del, because I know other people are probably thinking it too Truly, while I'm not opposed to the idea of introducing a special "Koros Stone" for breeding at some indistinct time in the future, the decision to have them non-breedable was twofold, with much deliberation, and consideration towards all parties. First was because of the breeding establishment we had already set up, both for it's functionality, and for the "world myth" that Kalidore is. Kalidore is based on real horse genetics, and while distinctly unicorns, there are certain familiar aspects that both equines share. Primarily, that they have designated lead stallion, overlooking the family bands. Odin, Falling Star, and Arieon are elder brothers who have both proven themselves and pledged to the tremendous responsibility that came with the territory... considering they are Sons of Kaedon, both experienced and aged, there's... just no realistic way a younger Koros could truly compete. At least, not for a few thousand years, hehe. That, and we haven't even revealed all the stallions yet. Trust me that there is much more stallion-y goodness to come! Secondly, it was also decision made from an rp standpoint, made on behalf of Kalidore very early on in the game - Simply, we didn't want any unicorns spending the lot of their time moping around over unrequited love, like what happens with so many RP's on PI.... That's just... so not unicorns Unicorns are not horses, but they are not human, either (humans being a completely different animal, not nearly as elegant and intelligent in design, and therefore not above some personal shortfallings, lol) On Kalidore the power between the sexes is balanced; stallions don't have favorites and care for all the kor equelly, and Mares choose their mates (if they choose to mate at all). There are no bad feeling between mares and Koros because it is simply a non-issue. The mares are not interested, the Koros know they are very, very young yet, and on Kalidore, time is a non-issue and luxury the unicorns have always had. I think, to truly have "band leader quality stallions", you would need to have Foundation Stallions. And while those boys are certainly out there (not all unicorns have lived on Kalidore, you know) it becomes a bit of an a metaplot nightmare, rp wise. Maybe after this current story arc is done, the Isle expanded and flourishing, there'll be room for other stallions. Just... not quite yet. However, separated from the RP aspect entirely, again, a possible Koros Stone is not something I am expressly about to forbid

Upon further consideration, and discussion on exactly what "taken seriously" meant - as in, ees totally just no to the off-camera schnoogling, not looking down noses during day-to-day activities and conversations. Am TOTALLY okay with the whole "notta Foundation Stallion" mentality for my koros. (Yeah, totally selfishly/personally motivated that request, haha. I'm just nuts about my Kyn is all.). So. Am good with or without said little Koros breeding stone, and can wait for it foreeeeeeever. Or not. *smirk*
*goes back to anticipating crazy birthday event*
